It’s that time of year!  A dress code was noticeably absent from my company’s holiday party invite.  With little detail to go on, the office was filled with chatter to see what others were planning to wear.  

With my family living so far apart and being a bunch of perfectionists, we rely heavily on wish lists for each member of the family to get our holiday shopping done. This year I focused on smaller items with big impacts

The best part about the socks and heels trend is that I already own the more expensive half. Find a cute pair of socks that will match well with a favorite pair of heels that are already in your closet. For less than $20 a new look is created and wear time for your heels is elongated into colder months. 

A holiday dedicated to eating and celebrating what we're thankful for?  My favorite!  I've been planning an outfit for a few weeks now, and I think i've finally settled on one.  I came up with a couple rules to ensure I really feel great throughout dinner.  

Every woman is shaped differently, and it's beautiful. However, when you're shopping for jeans it could be extremely frustrating trying to find something that fits. 

I fully committed to flats for an entire week.  Here's what I wore and how it went.

One of my most dreaded scenarios:   You just got paid so you head to the store to do some damage with the money burning a whole in your pocket.  A couple hours late you leave empty-handed.  This is exactly what happened to me this weekend.

The bomber jacket is one of the most popular and coveted closet must-haves this year--for good reason!  It is the epitome of versatility. 

Twice a year I get to hit the reset button to start fresh with a new set of outfit options and purge anything taking up unnecessary space in my tiny city apartment closet...and make room for new items!

I started writing down all of my crazy outfit thinking and closet rules, I figured if I can help one woman pick out a fierce power outfit that made her feel confident for a day of work, my mission was accomplished.  I didn't realize how much the act of publicly posting images and writing down my thoughts would positively effect me.

I wouldn't call pale pink a color of fall, but somehow I keep wearing it and loving it!

If there's a single thing you can change to feel immediate confidence and look better in literally all of your clothing, go get a proper fitting and spend money on a quality bra. 

If you were to ask me right now how I describe my style, I wouldn’t know how to answer.  It’s all over the place!  Depending on the day of the week, weather and my mood, my style is totally different.  I love feeling feminine in skirts and dresses.  I also love the effortless look of perfect fitting jeans with the coolest sneakers.  

A dress that I originally regretted buying just pulled off the most amazing--and easiest--day to evening transition ever.  I doubt you've seen the last of my stiletto to sneakers pairings with this slip dress!

It needs to be said that stripes are the perfect canvas to add some fun to your wardrobe.  Combined with this universally flattering asymmetric style, I'm in power outfit heaven!  

The sweaty commutes have finally gotten to me, and the emerging fall fashion trends are also super exciting.  I have to apply large amounts of self-control to not head to Bloomingdales on my lunch break and do some major shopping damage. 

It's not everyday that a trend pops up that I love and I happen to have several amazing options sitting in my closet just waiting to be worn. This is exactly what happened with the neckerchief. 

We are about two weeks to Labor Day, and I find myself wishing I had a couple extra weeks of summer to take advantage of.  Since I don't have the ability to pause time, I plan to stuff all of my favorite summer outfits into these remaining summer days.  Over the last couple of months, I noticed some trends in how my style is evolving.

Like many women, I don't feel 100% about my body.  However, wearing a crop top and feeling confident in it inspired me to share my body insecurities, in hopes that it will urge other women to look at their own body issues in a new, positive way.  

These two looks fit into completely different categories.  By pairing it was sneakers and a striped tee, it's perfect for a #casualfriday or weekend go-to.  Just by switching out the sneakers for heels and the tee for a crop top, this outfit is ready for date night or happy hour.
