How a bra fitting changed my life

What you wear under your clothes is just as important as your #ootd.  I will tell this story to anyone who I believe is somewhat interested and willing to listen because I really do think my life changed when I finally found my real bra size.  Don't judge until you hear the whole story, not to mention the photographic evidence! 

When I was younger I purchased all of my bras from Victoria's Secret. I didn't get the courage up to ask for a bra fitting until I was into my 20s. After a 30 second measurement, I was told I was a 34D, but I could also wear a 36C. So I did, for the next eight years.

Before my wedding in March of 2015 I went for a proper bra fitting at a specialized boutique called Rigby & Peller (formally Intimacy). I was committed to finding the perfect strapless bra to wear under my illusion neckline dress, so I wouldn't need to pull it up throughout the night of dancing.

With one look my personal bra specialist knew I was wearing the wrong size. My back hook was half way up my back and the cups gaping. She was very thorough in the sizing and had me try on more than a dozen styles. Here's the headline: I went from a 36C to a 30E. I didn't even know that was a size. 

I walked out with three new bras, and I haven't worn a Victoria's Secret bra in public ever since! Each one forms perfect to my unique size, accounting for my narrow rib cage and large cup size.

Pros:  My boobs are so much higher and completely controlled. I also look thinner in all of my clothing. My confidence immediately soared. 

Cons: These bras are extremely tight around the rib cage. It's the first thing I take off when I get home after work (and throw on one of those old Vickie's bras). They are also very expensive but worth every penny for the reasons stated above.

If there's a single thing you can change to feel immediate confidence and look better in literally all of your clothing, go get a proper fitting and spend money on a quality bra. If you're not a perfect Victoria's Secret size like so many of us, it may be life changing for you too!
